My Wii remote control has gone wrong [click for more details] ?
basically, my mum bought us a nintendo wii yesterday from her friend who didnt want it anymore, we have everything and the wii works, but its just the remote that doesn't.
yes, there are new batteries we bought for the control but you press a button and all 4 lights at the bottom flash and it doesnt do anything.
because she wanted to sell the other controller we only got one, so we are going round today to swap controllers and see if that makes a difference.
we have everything plugged in, it all works and its ONLY the remote, so please dont say 'is this plugged in ___' because yes, it is.
there is also a red sync button when you take the back off the remote and im wondering if you need to do something with that?
any help would be muchly appreciated

open up the little latch on front of the wii under the reset button and you should see a red button thats the wii's sync. now open up the back of the wiimote and there should also be a red button thats the wiimotes sync button press and hold the two sync buttons for 3 seconds (some wiis take longer but try 3 first) then simply let go the wiimote should then work
