Wii remote doesnt seem to align with my tv?

Im not sure if this is possible or not but i was hoping i wouldnt have to point the wii remote at the sensor i thought id be able to point it directly at the tv. I got the resident evil the umbrella chronicles game but since i cant point it directly at the tv it defeats the purpose of it being an arcade shooter. Please tell me what i have to do to correct this error. I selected the above tv sensor bar option and my sensor bar is right on top of my tv so that is not the problem.

How far away from the tv are you?
What is the height at the bottom and at the top of your TV.

You want to be at least 6feet from the TV and Sensor bar. the sensor bar should be between 30 in to 60 in from the floor. and if you are using a 19 in tv or smaller good luck with that.
