Are there any cool 3D video's on the internet?

So last night i saw Alice in Wonderland in 3D. It was the most amazing experience of my life. So I got home and noticed a distinct lack of 3D sweetness. I still have the glasses they give u at the theater they look like normal sunglasses. I tried the red/blue 3D video's they had on youtube but it just looked blurry. Are there any video's om internet in like the IMAX 3D style?

Unfortunately, no. The 3D you see in theaters uses a technique called polarization. Basically, light has an orientation- it's a series of waves traveling through the air. Nornally, we don't care whether the waves go up-and-down, left-and-right or anything as long as they come from the right place. But with the polarized 3D glasses, one lens is designed so that only light that goes up and down can get through. And the other lens is designed so that only light that goes left and right can get through. So you end up with a completely different picture in each eye. That's how you get 3D. The problem is that your monitor and graphics card aren't capable of deciding which direction the light comes out, so you can't view it in 3D. In addition, the formats we use today to store video, like H.264 (what YouTube and iTunes use) don't have a way to store 3D videos- you'd need two separate video streams running simultaneously playing on top of each other. NVidia has started to released graphics cards capable of generating 3D images and several companies are working on 3D TVs and monitors now, so you'll be able to do it in a few years but for now, you're out of luck.
