Blender tutorial for absolute beginner?

Does anyone know of any guide for the video editor "Blender"? I just downloaded it and am interested in doing some 3D effects with it. I have never done anything w/ 3D before so I need a thorough walk through.

It's not really a video editor, but a 3D modeling tool.
There's lots of great help on Blender available, but be warned that it's a very complex program that solves very complicated problems. You'll need some effort to learn it.

It covers the modeling aspects of blender as well as anything I've encountered, and I think it's easier than the 'official' tutorial to understand.
