3d video systems
Will the 64 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS video card with 4GB of system memory support windows aero/flip 3D?
I'm thinking about getting an HP notebook with Windows Vista Business, and the video card I mentioned is what it comes with. I'm getting it with 4 GB of system memory, and the NVIDIA website says that the card will use 767 MB of my system memory as shared memory. Microsoft says that Windows Aero/Flip 3D needs at least 128 MB of video memory to work, so I'm thinking that this video card with this amount of system memory should support Windows Aero/Flip 3D. . Any information regarding this would be really appreciated. Thanks, Sen Amorensae
It will defenitely support it. I used a dell xps M1330 with the same video card, 2 GB RAM and vista and I've never seen vista run this fast before
edit: oh I didn't realize that there's a 64 MB version of this video card. It should be fine in that case too.
