How can a 3D movie be played in traditional theaters?
Hi,
I know that there are three different 3d formats exists.
1. One format requires RED - CYAN glasses. Poor color. causes headache. And iys cheap.
2. Field sequential format requires glasses which are synchronized with video source frequency. The disply and the glasses are interlinked here.
3. Finally, polarized. Requires two projectors. No synchronization requires with the projectors. example IMAX.
In my area, there are some 3D movies playing in traditional theaters. I dont know what is the format. Do they provide RED - CYAN glasses. If it is field sequential, how they provide shutter glasses. they need synchronization. Polarized format is impossible as the theater should provide with a special projector.
My theater also supplies the glasses...but it is actually figured in, so it's not actually FREE. But keep them, you never know when a 3D movie will play on tv, they will tell you what to do to be able to watch it in 3D.
Go and watch it, and enjoy the movie. I know I do.
