3d Video Card Test
3d video card test
If you have a video card that supports 3d, do you have to have a special monitor to access it?
I have a video card for my computer that supports 3d, it also came with the glasses. I haven't tested it out yet, but I want to know if I need a special monitor/screen to actually have the 3d effect.
If you bought an nVidia 3DVision setup (video card and shutter glasses), to use them you will need a monitor that can receive a 120Hz DVI or HDMI video signal, like this one: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Displays/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-8846
Normal monitors that can only receive a 60Hz DVI or HDMI signal will NOT work with nVidia's 3DVision.
