Do Samsung HDTV's suck?
A few years back I bought a 32" Samsung and now it has dark vertical bands on the screen in several areas. I deeply regret not getting a warranty as repair cost outweighs current prices of new sets.
I plan to get a 47-55" LCD very soon.I don't care to have a 3D set or 120hz as I hate how " 120" HZ smooth motion" looks.
Anyway, I am worried to death to spend 1000 on ANY TV that may have issues like my current TV within 3 years. Even though I will get a better warranty this time I need help deciding.
Samsung has a WONDERFUL picture and GREAT prices, but I keep seeing things turn up about the tvs not turning on due to bad capacitors or screen issues. But then again, You will always have lemons with ANY brand. I cant imagine Samsung being worse than Insignia or Vizio and tons of people buy those. So,,,,,
Does SAMSUNG suck? What brand doesn't suck but isn't too pricey?

Try Panasonic, or if you want to save a little money, try Vizio. By my experience, Samsung doesn't seem bad.
