How fast do you think 3DTVs will drop in price?

Now that Sony isnt the only one producing 3d tvs, there's a need to stay competitive with prices. So do you think prices will fall as fast as they did for HDTVs?

There are a couple of forces here that will affect the price of these TVs,

If you notive the price of HD tvs are going down just like the price of DVD as a whole came down with the emergence of blue ray, so the price of these tv will go down when a better technology comes around.

second, there are a handful of people that have to have these 3dtvs and they are not cheap so my guess when the demand for these TV goes down so will the price. Right now this new technology has capture the imagination of some people but like I said once the novelty wears out and people become more practical than paying $2500 for a tv then the demand for these TV will go down.
