3D plasma TV delivered broken?
I ordered a tv last week from ebay and the seller and I agreed for me to arrange for my own courier to collect it. When it arrived today the box was massive, I opened the box to find the tv and loads of broken polystyrene. The tv wasn't protected or covered at all and the remote control and the small stand that it sits on wearnt held down so in the box was the tv, remote and stand all of which were not held down so they must of had alot of movement when being delivered.
When took the tv out of the box the screen had been totally obliterated. I contacted the seller and he said that it was the couriers responsibility.
I have opened a case on paypal but I dont know if I am entitled to a refund as I arranged the courier. The way the tv was packaged though was totally unacceptable, who would put a plasma screen in a box with other pointy objects and not cover the screen.
Has anyone else has had any experiences like this? and what was the outcome.
with expensive goods like a tv you should always check the box when the courier delivers it,, that way you and the driver can check if the goods are damaged or not,,
its not going to easy for you,,
the courier is going to say that you damaged the tv and its nothing to do with them,,
the ebay seller is going to say that he packaged the tv real good and its nothing to do with him,,
its going to be hard for you to get some one to blame, but i would like to hear how you get on with it,,
