3d Tv Explained
3d tv explained

3D tv.................?
I have a Mitsubishi TV and it has 3D. I can turn on 3D mode which makes everything, look like what it should look like without glasses. Anyway my question is what do I need to buy to be able to watch regular TV, movies and video games in 3D. Do I just need glasses, or do I need to buy more? I see there's a port on the back of the TV for a 3D emitter...what is that? And do I have to buy special channels?
Someone just please help me out and explain everything to me. Thanks.
Mitsubishi has a 3d starter kit that is for their 3d ready tv's sold between 2007 and 2009. This is most likely what you will need. It contains the emitter which is a small box that sends out the radio signal to tell the lenses on the glasses when to open and close in sync with the 2 2d movies that flash on the screen very fast for each eye. If you have a tv that does 3d conversion it will take 2d video and convert it to 3d, sounds like from your description of having double images when in 3d mode that it can do this. If a tv does not convert, then you can only watch content in 3d. Like the 3 3d channels that direct tv has, the only place I know that you can get 3d from. and/or you will have to get the new 3d blu-ray disks at best buy for the new 3d tv's. You must have a 3d blu-ray player to watch them with. A regular one can not read them.
Below is the kit at amazon. It comes with 2 pairs of glasses. Just to prepare you, it is 400 dollars.
