Handheld gaming system with 3D popping-out effect and no glasses- do we have the technology for it?

I know that there is a handheld gaming console with 3D screen (Nintendo 3DS), but it has only in-depth effect, and I was wondering if there is technology available to make a gaming console with 3D screen and no need for glasses but with popping-out effect (just like 3D TVs that require glasses). I know that at Consumer Electronics Show (CES), there were demonstrations of 3D TVs that don't require glasses, but I don't know when they will be available for mass production and right now the downside of it is that you have to stand in front of TV to see the 3D effect. But that's not a problem with handheld systems because when you play it's always in front of you.

We have the tech, it's the same as the 3DS. It's just that the 3d effect is reversed so that it appears to pop out instead of jutting in.
