Xbox 360 HDMI question?
I have my 360 hooked up to my crappy old 25" CRT TV, and I can't see anything when I'm playing it. I'm going to get a new computer monitor rated at 1080p (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009157), but I'm not sure how I'm going to set it up.
There is an HDMI converter available, but I can't use the audio port that the converter has on it. I need to use the HDMI for video, but the standard component cable for audio.
I have an older arcade, so there isn't any other ways to output besides the AV port; no VGA port on it. PLEASE HELP!!!
It's the 21.5" monitor
Your best bet might be to buy the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable (first link).. it connects to the standard Xbox 360 A/V port and it will display up to 1080p so you don't need to worry about HDMI..
Otherwise, if you want HDMI buy the official Xbox 360 HDMI AV Cable (second link) below.. it includes an HDMI cable and an audio connector which plugs in to the Xbox 360's A/V connector and gives you both stereo (red/white) and fiber optic audio out connectors.. check the second picture on the Amazon.com page.. you can see the connectors.
Good luck..

Arcade $3.95 This second issue in the series Room 5, Arcade features reflections on female urinals and edible architecture; a consideration of scatalogical elements in the work of Kurt Schwitters; an analysis of hypothermia as a primary death fantasy; interviews with Richard Rorty and Dan Graham; an exploration of Fragonard's gravitational fantasy; essays and designs for museum architecture; and thoughts on Walter Benjamin, perspective, and the impossibility of writing. Arcade is a collection of essays, discussions, architectural design, and graphic projects that come together as disparate things and people do in an arcade -- in Benjamin's arcade? -- in their communal attempt to escape the conditions in the street. Drawing together work that reflects the commitment of the London Consortium to multidisciplinary research, Room 5 recognizes the need to analyze modern culture in its social context, with input and output from the human sciences, cultural policy, and cultural production. |
